What is the difference between Warranty & Insurance?

Warranty covers all defects in material or workmanship, including repair in Meatel's workshop and cost of parts and labor. Breakage insurance covers repair in Meatel's workshop including cost of parts and labor. The first $50 repair cost is not covered by this insurance policy.

What are the Nokia services?

A collection of services provided and updated by Nokia. For example services that enable you to download a new ringing tone from the network if this service is supported by the network operator and the Nokia service provider.

What is the Info service (Topic text)?

This network service allows you to receive messages about a variety of topics such as weather & traffic conditions from your service provider. For available topics and relevant topic numbers, contact your service provider.

What do I do with my Infrared link?

You can connect your phone to a PC for browsing purposes or for sending faxes. Furthermore, it helps in receiving data, sending data and graphics, copying names and numbers from phone book to a compatible phone or PC, printing names and numbers from phone book to a compatible printer, and playing the snake with another compatible phone.

What is the PIN code?

The PIN (Personal identification number) code protects your SIM card against unauthorized use. The PIN code is usually supplied with the SIM card.

What is the PIN2 code?

The PIN2 code, supplied with some SIM cards, is required to access some functions, such as charging unit counters. These functions are only available if supported by your SIM card.

What is the PUK Code?

The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is required to change a blocked PIN code. If you wish to obtain this code, please contact your service provider.

What is PUK2 code?

The PUK2 code, supplied with some SIM cards, is required to change a blocked PIN2 code. If you wish to obtain this code, please contact your service provider.

How do I send an SMS Message?

The SMS network service allows you to send short text messages to phones that have SMS capability. Before you can send any messages, you need to store the number of your Message Center in the menu "Message Settings". You receive this number from your service provider.

What is the Security code?

The security code can be used to avoid unauthorized use of your phone. The security code is usually supplied with the phone. Keep the code secret and in a safe place, separate from the phone.

Why do I get Card Not Accepted displayed on my phone?

This is when the phone is blocked by a service provider to function only with his SIM card.

What is Call Barring?

This network service allows you to restrict making and receiving calls with your phone. For this function you need the barring password supplied by the operator.

How do non-compatible accessories affect my phone?

Use only batteries, chargers and accessories approved by the phone manufacturer for use with your particular phone model. The use of any other types will invalidate any approval or warranty applying to the phone, and may be dangerous with a risk of burning or damaging your phone.

How can I link my phone to the PC?

You can use the Cellular Data Suite in versatile ways to enhance the usability of your mobile office. One of the advantages of the program is that it does not require a separate PC Card (PCMCIA Card) for communication. The Nokia Cellular Data Suite is a software-based solution for you to benefit from advanced communications functions. You can easily link your computer and cellular phone together for sending and receiving data files, as well as receiving and transmitting faxes.

Why do I get "Call Not Allowed"?

"Own Number Sending" in your phone menu should be ON. Otherwise, please call our Customer Support Department for assistance.
