When will the Nokia 8910 be available?
Sales will start in the 2nd quarter of 2002 in Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Is the Nokia 8910 made of real metal?
Yes, the Nokia 8910 utilizes real titanium in its visual outer covers, giving you a totally genuine experience when holding your phone. It is the first Nokia phone to utilize this prestige material.

What benefits are gained by using titanium? What are some of titanium's characteristics?
Titanium is a metal valued for its qualities of strength and lightness. Titanium and titanium alloys also form stable protective surface layers, giving the material such qualities as a good fatigue index. The visual outer covers of the Nokia 8910 are made of real titanium thus offer end users the ultimate material experience.

How do I install the SIM card into my Nokia 8910?
First press the triggers on both sides to open the phone. Then press the back cover release button with a suitable instrument (make sure that the instrument is not so sharp that it damages the phone). Slide the back cover off the phone and lift the battery out of the phone. Then release the SIM cardholder and insert and lock the SIM card. Replace the battery and close the phone back cover by sliding it onto the phone until it locks into place. Does the Nokia 8910 have dynamic memory? What does dynamic memory mean?
Yes, the Nokia 8910 has dynamic memory. It means that the amount of the total entries/names in the phonebook depends on the amount of content/information per entry. With more extensive content, such as multiple phone numbers, plus street and e-mail address under one name, one can save fewer names in the phonebook.

What is the memory capacity for Phonebook, Picture Messaging, SMS storage, Calendar and To-do notes in the Nokia 8910?

Phonebook:
Up to 500 names with 3 numbers and 1 text item. Maximum 5 numbers and 4 text items can be stored by name, but this leaves room for fewer name entries.

SMS:
Up to 150 messages of text or up to 50 picture messages or combination of these (dynamic memory).

Calendar notes:
100 - 250 calendar notes (dynamic memory).

To-do list:
up to 30 notes

How do I activate the full display Screen Saver?
To activate the screen saver press Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, and Screen saver and then select On. You can also set the screen saver to activate after a certain time, or select the screen saver to show either analog or digital watch.

How does the Bluetooth technology differ from infrared?
A Bluetooth chipset enables wireless data connectivity between various electronic devices within a radius of about 10 meters, outside the line of sight, unlike infrared, which requires a shorter distance and immediate line of sight. There is a huge base of IrDA compatible products, and both technologies will continue to co-exist.

What is the difference between the Bluetooth Software Suite and Nokia PC Suite?
The Bluetooth Software Suite installs Bluetooth functionality on a PC and enables Bluetooth connectivity between a PC and Bluetooth compatible device (such as the Nokia 8910). What type of Bluetooth audio equipment can I use with the Nokia 8910?
The Nokia 8910 supports Bluetooth audio functionality according to the Handsfree Profile, which is in the formal adoption phase and is expected to become a Bluetooth Specification around the same time the Nokia 8910 enters the market. The Nokia 8910 will be compatible with the Nokia Wireless Headset and Nokia Wireless Car Kit and other Bluetooth audio products being developed to this Profile specification.

How does the Nokia 8910 support data synchronization?
The Nokia 8910's calendar, contacts/phonebook, and to-do lists can be synchronized with PC office applications via the Nokia PC Suite using infrared or Bluetooth.

What is the advantage of using the Nokia Wireless Headset?
Connected with the Nokia 8910 phone, you can enjoy the freedom of talking handsfree without a physical cable connection between the devices.

How are calls controlled with the Nokia Wireless Headset?
There are in the Wireless Headset three keys for controlling the calls. These are the answer/end key, the volume up key and the volume down key. The power of the headset can be switched off by pressing and holding the volume down key.

Can the Nokia Wireless Headset be charged with standard Nokia chargers?
Yes, the Nokia Wireless Headset supports the Nokia chargers ACP-7, ACP-8, ACP-12 and LCH-9. Thus the Wireless Headset can be recharged with the same chargers as the Nokia 8910 phone.

What can I do with the Nokia Wireless Car Kit?
Connecting your Nokia 8910 phone with the Nokia Wireless Car Kit lets you enjoy the freedom of talking handsfree inside a car without the physical cable connection between your phone and the Wireless Car Kit. The phone can remain, for example, in a briefcase, and full handsfree capabilities are available in the car environment.

Is it possible to save voice tags in the Nokia Wireless Car Kit's memory?
No. The voice tags that the user can activate using the remote control button are stored in the phone's memory.

How are the calls controlled with the Nokia Wireless Car Kit?
There is a separate remote control button in the Wireless Car Kit for controlling the calls. The user can activate voice dialing, accept and reject calls, as well as adjust the volume with the remote control button.

Can I charge my phone while it is connected to the Nokia Wireless Car Kit?
The Nokia Wireless Car Kit sales package does not include a mobile charger and the connection between the phone and the Wireless Car Kit does not require cables. The phone can, however, be charged normally with the compatible Nokia Mobile Charger also when connected to the Wireless Car Kit. Additionally the MBC-10 Mobile Holder, designed specifically for the Nokia 8910, is available. The AXC-1 Charging Cable included in the sales package of MBC-10 allows you to charge the phone when cable connected to both MCB-10 Mobile Holder as well as the BT Car Kit HF unit HFW-1.

What can I do with the Nokia Connectivity Card?
You can connect your Nokia 8910 phone and laptop (PC) wirelessly. While connected, you can handle email, browse the web, send faxes and carry out address book synchronization easily without a physical cable connection using the Nokia 8910 phone. You can also use the Nokia 8910 as a GSM modem for connecting wirelessly to a computer within a 10-metre range. The Nokia 8910 supports GSM data (CSD), HSCSD and GPRS data.

Can I use the Nokia Connectivity Card in any laptop?
The laptop must support the Windows 98, NT4 (with SP5 or later), 2000, Me, or XP operating system and have the Bluetooth functionality installed.

How is the Bluetooth connection established between my Nokia 8910 and the laptop?
